Saudia has once again secured the top spot for on-time performance (OTP) globally, marking its second consecutive month at the helm. This achievement, for July 2024, is based on data from Cirium, an independent aviation tracking platform.

The report highlights the Saudi airline’s on-time arrival rate of 88.12 percent and on-time departure rate of 88.15 percent, achieved across a network spanning over 100 destinations on four continents, encompassing 16,503 flights.

Eng. Ibrahim Al-Omar, Saudia group director general, stated in a press release that achieving a high OTP is a shared goal at Saudia Group, as it directly influences guest satisfaction. He emphasized that the airline has successfully maintained this performance even during peak travel seasons this year, highlighting the collaborative efforts of the entire Saudia Group and key stakeholders within the aviation industry. He also noted that sustaining their leadership in this area requires unwavering dedication and resilience in overcoming the numerous challenges facing the global aviation sector.

Looking ahead, Saudia is poised to receive 103 new aircraft in the coming years, aligning with its strategic vision to double seating capacity and expand its global reach to new destinations. This expansion further aligns with the airline’s commitment to bringing the world to the Kingdom, a key objective of Vision 2030.
