TruthGPT vs. ChatGPT: Musk’s AI alternative
TruthGPT to rival OpenAI and Google

Elon Musk has revealed new details about his AI platform, TruthGPT, which he aims to challenge Microsoft and Google’s offerings. TruthGPT seeks to create an AI that understands the universe and is unlikely to harm humans.

Musk has reportedly approached AI researchers about developing an alternative to OpenAI‘s ChatGPT, which he previously co-founded, and created an AI company called X.AI.

Tesla’s CEO has long been concerned about the potential dangers of AI and has previously warned of its potential to cause “civilizational destruction.”

The announcement comes after OpenAI’s ChatGPT launched in November, and Microsoft quickly integrated it into its Bing search engine. Google also released its own AI conversation engine, Bard, but it stumbled at launch.

In recent months, OpenAI continues to make strides in the field of AI research and development. In March 2023, OpenAI released GPT-4, the latest iteration of its Generative Pre-trained Transformer language model. GPT-4 has 100 trillion parameters, making it the largest language model the lab has built to date.

ChatGPT powers Superchat’s virtual character chatbots

Lately, Gorilla Technologies launched a new AI chat app for iOS, Superchat, which allows users to chat with virtual characters powered by OpenAI’s ChatGPT.

The app offers a range of historical and fictional characters, including those from classic stories and public domain works, as well as characters representing different professions. Gorilla Technologies CEO Guglielmo Faglioni said the app is aimed at making AI technology accessible to everyone, including children who want to learn more about historical figures. The app is structured like a messaging app, allowing users to have multiple conversations with different AI chatbots at the same time.
