Global air and travel services provider dnata (Dubai National Air Travel Agency) has secured a multi-year ground handling agreement with easyJet at Zurich Airport (ZRH) in Switzerland.

Enhancing passenger experience

Through this partnership, dnata will deliver its comprehensive suite of safe and dependable passenger, ramp, and baggage services for the low-cost airline. Moreover, the dnata team is set to enhance the travel experience for approximately 640,000 passengers across easyJet’s 3,800 annual flights.

This new contract further strengthens the collaboration between dnata and easyJet in Switzerland, where dnata has been providing all de-icing services for the airline in Zurich since 2022.

Operations in Switzerland

Currently, dnata operates at two Swiss airports—ZRH and Geneva Airport (GVA)—offering a variety of ground handling and cargo services to over 30 airlines, supported by a workforce of 1,100 customer-focused employees. In the financial year 2023-24, dnata’s team facilitated the travel of eight million passengers and managed the movement of more than 90,000 tons of cargo in Geneva and Zurich.

Established in 1959, dnata is a prominent global air and travel services provider, delivering top-notch ground handling, cargo, travel, catering, and retail services in over 30 countries across six continents. In the financial year 2023-24, dnata’s dedicated teams handled more than 778,000 aircraft turns, transported over 2.9 million tons of cargo, served 123 million meals, and achieved a total transaction value of travel services reaching $2.4 billion.
