The UAE and North Macedonia signed two important Memoranda of Understanding in Abu Dhabi, focusing on economic cooperation and establishing a partnership between the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia. The agreements underscore the mutual commitment to advancing UAE North Macedonia relations and promoting collaboration in various sectors, including economic, educational, and diplomatic initiatives.
The signing took place during H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, reception of Timčo Mucunski, minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of the Republic of North Macedonia. The meeting highlighted the growing significance of UAE North Macedonia relations as both nations seek to deepen their diplomatic ties, WAM reported.
The meeting and signing ceremony were attended by Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, assistant minister for Economic and Trade Affairs, further emphasizing the importance of this diplomatic engagement in strengthening UAE North Macedonia relations.
Strengthening bilateral relations
During the meeting, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah welcomed Minister Mucunski and engaged in discussions about bilateral relations and opportunities to enhance cooperation across various sectors. These sectors include economic, commercial, and investment areas, as well as other fields aligned with both countries’ development priorities. The focus was on maximizing the potential of UAE North Macedonia relations to benefit both nations.
