Space42 powers the UAE’s cosmic narrative
The platform is curated in partnership with Space42, the UAE’s leading space technology company and the official partner of the Explorers of Space zone.
Themed “From Earth to Ether,” the UAE Pavilion highlights how innovation in space is directly tied to practical, Earth-based solutions.
Space42’s involvement in Expo 2025 reflects the AI-powered company’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in space and technology, believes Sulaiman Al Ali, Chief Commercial Officer at Space42.
The Abu Dhabi space tech company aims to deliver real-world impact through the convergence of satellite communications, AI, and geospatial intelligence.
Pioneering projects and global reach
Space42 currently serves over 150 countries through a growing satellite portfolio, offering services in smart connectivity, Earth observation, and disaster response. Major projects on display at the pavilion include:
Thuraya-4: Enabling next-generation mobility and maritime services
Foresight Constellation: Expanding satellite coverage for advanced Earth monitoring
Yah 4 and Yah 5: Supporting the UAE government’s tech initiatives
AI-driven product line: Over 15 new technologies in development
Radar satellite constellation: Completion targeted by 2027
Space42 is also the first UAE space tech firm to fully embed AI into its operational model, reinforcing its role as a key enabler of the country’s global space ambitions.

UAE – Japan space partnership
Expo 2025 marks a strategic moment for expanding international collaboration. The longstanding UAE–Japan space partnership — which has already resulted in successful joint missions — continues to fuel innovation and global outreach.
A tribute to heritage: Traditional art meets space
Blending technology with tradition, the Explorers of Space experience features a handcrafted rocket sculpture made from palm fronds (khoos)—a traditional Emirati craft. Woven by artisans from the House of Artisans over several months, the piece symbolizes the UAE’s unique blend of cultural heritage and futuristic ambition.
This striking installation stands as a visual metaphor for how tradition can inspire and coexist with innovation, echoing the pavilion’s message of transformation from Earth to ether.
