Digitizing key sectors with AI

According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), Al Olama highlighted the significance of digitizing key sectors through the adoption of AI applications, which plays a crucial role in bolstering the UAE’s global competitiveness and expediting digital transformation across all industrial domains. He commended EGA for their proactive efforts in incorporating Fourth Industrial Revolution solutions, particularly in the realm of artificial intelligence, throughout their operations.

Under the terms of the agreement, the Office for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications and EGA will collaborate on various initiatives. This includes fostering research partnerships for AI, including the development of new aluminum alloys. Additionally, they will jointly focus on upskilling EGA employees in artificial intelligence, promoting career opportunities to UAE National students, and collaborating with universities to ensure that their curricula align with industry requirements.

EGA commenced its Industry 4.0 transformation in 2021, aiming to enhance operational efficiency and become a digital frontrunner in the regional and global aluminum industry.

Fourth Industrial Revolution solutions

The agreement reinforces EGA’s endeavors to implement Fourth Industrial Revolution solutions, leveraging artificial intelligence in diverse fields such as supply chain optimization, automated quality testing, and bolstering safety protocols within their factories. EGA has been pioneering proprietary technologies for local aluminum smelting operations for over three decades.
