Apple Music gets smarter with AutoMix, Translated Lyrics, and more

Apple Music is receiving a substantial upgrade, headlined by AutoMix, a new AI-powered feature that mimics a live DJ. AutoMix analyzes songs in real time and creates smooth transitions between tracks using beat matching and time stretching for continuous, uninterrupted listening.

Music lovers will also enjoy Lyrics Translation and Lyrics Pronunciation, which leverage machine learning to help users understand and sing along to songs in foreign languages. The translations preserve the original emotion, context, and lyrical meaning, thanks to fine-tuning from language experts.

Another standout feature is the evolution of Apple Music Sing, which now turns the iPhone into a handheld microphone for Apple TV. Users can sing along with real-time lyrics while enjoying screen-based visual effects, making it perfect for parties or karaoke nights.

For easier navigation, users can now pin favorite music to the top of their Library for quick access.

Apple Podcasts offers more control and clarity

Apple Podcasts is introducing enhanced playback options that allow for greater customization. Listeners can now choose playback speeds ranging from 0.5x to 3x and save preferences for individual shows.

With Enhance Dialogue, powered by real-time audio processing and machine learning, listeners can boost voice clarity—ideal for noisy environments or podcasts with heavy background music.

Smarter shopping and payments in Apple Wallet and Apple Pay

Apple Wallet is becoming more intelligent with new order tracking capabilities powered by Apple Intelligence. The feature scans emails for order confirmations and automatically displays summaries, shipping updates, and full order details — all in one convenient place.

Meanwhile, Apple Pay is expanding in-store support for rewards and instalment payments. Users can now redeem points or split purchases into instalments directly from their iPhones when paying in person, offering more flexibility at checkout.

Apple Cash now supports group payments in Messages

Managing shared expenses just got easier. With the new Apple Cash integration, users can send or request money in group chats within Messages. Whether splitting a dinner bill or coordinating a group gift, users can send funds to individuals or request equal payments from everyone in the conversation.

Looking ahead

The updates reflect Apple’s continued push to integrate intelligence and personalization across its ecosystem. As the fall release approaches, users can expect deeper functionality and a more connected experience across devices — making everyday tasks more intuitive and engaging.
