Instant messaging platform WhatsApp stopped working on Tuesday for users in Lebanon, the UAE, and Turkey, in a recent outage wherein people were unable to use the Meta-owned applications.
WhatsApp outages have also been reported in several countries such as the UK, South Africa, and some European and Asian countries.
“We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble sending messages and we’re working to restore WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible,” a Meta spokesperson said.
Downdetector, an online platform that provides users with real-time information about services, confirmed outages with thousands of reports online.
