The Prince of Riyadh, Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, laid the cornerstone last Sunday February 6 for the construction of the $3.7 billion Avenues Mall in Riyadh
Avenues Mall, run by Saudi Shomoul Holding Co, will occupy a surface area of 390,000 sqms, and will offer rental space stretching over 400,000 sqms.
The total building area of Avenues Mall stretches over 1.8 million sqms, Shomoul Chairman, Mohammed Al-Shaya is reported describing by Saudi media.
Avenues Mall will include international hotels, residential apartments, medical clinics, offices and parking spaces for about 15,000 vehicles, Al-Shaya said.
The project’s design received the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification by the American Green Building Council.
