World’s most expensive car priced at $28 mln

Rolls Royce says it will manufacture 3 Boat Tail models only
World’s most expensive car priced at $28 mln
The Rolls-Royce Boat Tail

Up until May 2021, the Bugatti La Voiture Noire was considered the world’s most expensive car with a retail price of $18.7 million, after taxes.

Yes. You read it right. $18.7 million, and only one model was ever built of it, and it already has a buyer, the famous CR7 Cristiano Ronaldo, who posted a photo of himself with the car on his instagram page last year’s August.

But then the winds of change blew away the competition with a new car that has taken over the throne as the world’s most expensive car, for an unparalleled price of $28 million for the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail model.

And Rolls Royce has promised not to build more than three of this handmade four-seater car.
Of course for such a retail price tag, the car features an impressive engine power equivalent to the Rolls-Royce Phantom, which is sold at nearly half a million dollars and has a 6.75-litre, 563-horse power, twin-turbo V12 engine, which you will never be able to drive at full speed on regular highways, unless you can afford to pay for the speeding tickets and perhaps having your car impounded.

If you are wondering what the price entails, then let us tell you:

  • It is the first car to ever feature its own extended umbrella. With a press of a button, the umbrella extends from the back and a cocktail table is set.
  • And though not any understand the need to have the roof being fully detachable rather than being a convertible, yet the RR Boat Tail model will have a detachable roof. Talk about the extra work put to get fresh air.

And if you are wondering who’ll be buying this car? Well look no further. When a limited edition hits the market, it almost immediately become a collector’s item, which means its value would only increase with time.

Take the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO for example. It was sold at the time for $18,000… Yes only 3 zeros there. However, in 2018, a Ferrari 250 GTO by Scaglietti was sold at an auction for $48.4 million… making it the most expensive auctioned car, and a very profitable investment.

But no. It does not have its own umbrella, nor a Champagne cooler. Those can be bought separately from a convenient store.
