Dubai carrier Emirates is ramping up its global operations to accommodate the surge in travel demand during the Hajj pilgrimage and Eid Al Adha season, with a series of dedicated flights, enhanced onboard experiences, and festive services for customers across its network.

Thirty three special Hajj flights to support pilgrims’ spiritual journey

In support of thousands of pilgrims making the once-in-a-lifetime journey to the Holy City of Mecca, Emirates has launched 33 special flights to Jeddah and Medina, operating through May 31 and again from June 10 to 16.

The airline will transport nearly 32,000 Hajj pilgrims over the next three weeks from key global cities, including the USA, Pakistan, Indonesia, South Africa, Thailand, and Côte d’Ivoire. These dedicated flights aim to provide a seamless and spiritually enriching travel experience for pilgrims.

Emirates’ enhanced Hajj experience: From ground to air

Emirates’ Hajj journey begins the moment pilgrims arrive in Dubai, where dedicated airport teams provide smooth transit support including assistance with arrivals, connections, and hotel transfers.

Onboard the Hajj flights, passengers across all classes will receive a custom-designed Hajj kit, which includes:

  • A prayer mat
  • Tasbih prayer beads
  • Silicon water bottles
  • Cushioned non-slip socks
  • Unperfumed towels

The experience is further enriched with ablution-friendly amenities, special religious announcements marking Al Miqat zones, and curated Islamic content available on Emirates’ in-flight entertainment system, ice.

Returning pilgrims can also carry up to 5 litres of Zamzam water, checked into a designated cargo area, ensuring ease and compliance with travel guidelines.

Thirteen additional regional flights for Eid Al Adha travel surge

In anticipation of increased travel during Eid Al Adha, Emirates has scheduled an additional 13 flights to and from Amman, Dammam, Kuwait, and Bahrain. These routes are expected to serve travelers heading to popular summer destinations or reuniting with family for the holiday.

Expanded entertainment options during Eid

During Eid, customers can access Emirates’ award-winning ice entertainment system, offering over 2,000 movies and 500 Arabic music channels.

Last-minute Eid gifts with Emirates RED duty-free

Travelers who missed shopping for Eid gifts can explore the new Emirates RED summer duty-free catalogue, offering 200 luxury products from brands such as Hermès, Tom Ford, Creed, Jo Malone, and Cartier.
