The opening keynote by Linda Fitz-Alan highlighted the purpose of RESOLVE which is to shine a spotlight on the depth and breadth of Abu Dhabi’s dispute resolution community and to underscore Abu Dhabi and ADGM’s record as dynamic forces focused on dispute resolution at its best.
Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) global survey conducted in partnership with Pinsent Masons on the ‘Future of International Energy Arbitration’ was unveiled at the event. The survey examined two main themes which have come into sharp focus due to the present volatility of the international energy markets: the prevailing drivers of disputes in the short to medium term which have developed over the last 12 months and how international arbitration can adapt to this environment to best serve the needs of the energy sector.
