Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman made a significant announcement, stating that Saudi Arabia is taking the initiative to establish a Global Water Organization. The aim of this organization is to integrate and strengthen the collaborative efforts of governments and organizations worldwide in ensuring sustainable access to water resources on a global scale.

With its headquarters based in Riyadh, the newly established organization intends to facilitate the exchange of expertise, promote technological advancements, foster innovation, and encourage the sharing of research and development experiences. Furthermore, it will actively support the establishment and funding of high-priority projects aimed at ensuring the sustainability of water resources and making them accessible to all.

As per the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the organization aims to facilitate the exchange of expertise, promote technological advancements, foster innovation, and encourage the sharing of research and development experiences.

Additionally, the hashtag “united for water” has gained significant traction on social media platforms within the Kingdom, spreading widely across various online communities.

Moreover, the establishment of the organization also seeks to provide support to countries grappling with water challenges. With global demand projected to increase by 2050, driven by a population estimated to reach 9.8 billion, the organization aims to address these future demands effectively.

Furthermore, Saudi Arabia has generously allocated over $6 billion in funding for water and sanitation projects worldwide, showcasing its commitment to addressing global water-related challenges and promoting sustainable solutions on a global scale.
