The Saudi Media Academy, affiliated with the Ministry of Media, has officially launched the first phase of its Media Leaders Track through an intensive training program in global event management.

Held in Switzerland, the program is being conducted in partnership with EHL Hospitality Business School, the world’s top-ranked university for hospitality management according to the QS World University Rankings.

Marking the launch, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Saudi Media Academy and EHL, signaling a new phase of international academic collaboration. The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Maghlouth, assistant minister of media and chairman of the academy’s board of directors, along with other senior officials.

The partnership aims to promote cultural and academic exchange while strengthening Saudi Arabia’s media capabilities by developing national talent through world-class training.

The initiative aligns with the Ministry of Media’s broader vision to empower local professionals in line with the ambitions of Saudi Vision 2030.

The MoU was signed by Khalid Zain Al-Abdeen, chief executive of the Saudi Media Academy, and Stéphane Haddad, associate dean of Executive Education Programs at EHL.

World-class, comprehensive training

The program consists of a five-day, hands-on training camp, featuring workshops by international experts and field visits to leading global event institutions.

Participants will develop skills in planning, organizing, and executing major events, along with leadership, team coordination, and audience engagement strategies.

The training marks the first practical stage of a comprehensive four-phase leadership track. It will be followed by a specialized digital advertising course in Riyadh, an international media camp in Singapore, and a final advanced module on leadership communication strategies.
