stc Group has revealed a strategic partnership with the Future Investment Initiative Institute (FII) ahead of the 8th annual conference, running from October 29 to 31, 2024, at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh.

Conference theme and expectations

Under the theme “Infinite Horizons: Investing Today, Shaping Tomorrow,” this event is anticipated to attract over 7,000 registered participants, along with more than 500 speakers. The FII serves as a platform for world leaders, CEOs, and innovators to develop actionable solutions and enhance collaboration between governments and businesses.

Strategic partnerships and commitment

Joining notable strategic partners such as Franklin Templeton, Standard Chartered, Saudi National Bank, Riyadh Air, and Diriyah, stc Group aims to advance the institute’s objectives and ensure the conference’s success. This partnership exemplifies stc Group’s dedication to tackling some of the most pressing global challenges.

Focus on critical issues

According to the announcement, stc Group, alongside other strategic partners and prominent organizations from business, academia, and public policy, will engage in discussions addressing critical issues such as AI, healthcare, and sustainability. The release emphasizes the group’s goal to stimulate meaningful conversations about leveraging technology and innovation for positive change across industry and society.

Panel session participation

stc Group will participate in a panel session titled “Is I.T. Infrastructure One-Size-Fits-All?” which will explore whether standardized IT infrastructure can meet the varied needs of industries, governments, and economies, or if a tailored approach is necessary, drawing on stc Group’s expertise in digital infrastructure. This session is scheduled for October 29 from 5:15 pm to 5:45 pm in Lab 2.

Showcasing innovation and growth

Additionally, stc Group will showcase its distinctive products and solutions at the conference, highlighting its transition from pure connectivity to a broader range of digital services. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn about the group’s successful investment track record and its commitment to responsible and sustainable growth.

New strategic partners join FII Institute

In the lead-up to the FII8 Conference, twelve international companies have joined the FII Institute’s strategic partner network. These organizations, spanning business, technology, aviation, energy, academia, and public policy, share a commitment to fostering a sustainable and equitable future.

Role of strategic partners

The FII Institute runs a year-round agenda featuring global initiatives, international summits, policy development, and surveys. Strategic partners play a crucial role in this program, contributing leadership and participating in various initiatives. The new partners include ACWA Power, ALAT, Claure Group, Franklin Templeton, King Salman International Airport, Minerva Foods, NBK, Premium Residency Center, Riyadh Air, and SCAI.

Richard Attias, CEO of the FII Institute, stated that partners are essential to the institute’s mission of making a positive impact on humanity. As the network grows, it aims to unite a global force for change and create impactful initiatives.

Introduction of venture program partners

The FII Institute has also introduced General Atlantic and Lakestar as its inaugural venture program partners. These firms will significantly contribute to the upcoming FII8 Investment Day, which aims to unite entrepreneurs and prominent leaders in innovation, investment, business, and education to collaboratively address global challenges in AI, robotics, sustainability, health, and education.

Collaboration with existing partners

The twelve new partners will join existing strategic partners, including the founding partner Public Investment Fund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia, and vision partners such as the Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia, Aramco, Diriyah, Emaar, GFH, HSBC, KAFD, Ma’aden, NEOM, New Murabba, Red Sea Global, Riyad Bank, ROSHN, Royal Commission for AlUla, SABIC, Sanabil Investments, SNB, SoftBank Vision Fund, Standard Chartered, State Street, stc, THIQAH, and Vision Invest.

Attias added that by collaborating with over 60 outstanding partners, they are harnessing collective power to tackle pressing challenges and create a more sustainable future.

FII8 conference

This year’s FII8 activities will culminate in four days of discussions addressing humanity’s challenges, supplemented by a week of side events. The FII8 Conference will take place in Riyadh from October 28 to 31 at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center. Over 600 speakers and 8,000 delegates, including world leaders, ministers, CEOs, investors, founders, and public policy experts, are expected to attend this globally recognized annual event.

Support partners and contributions

Additionally, FII8 will have support partners such as BMW, Saudia, Dr. Sulaiman Alhabib, and Saudi Electricity Company. Knowledge and academic partners, including leading consultancies, universities, and institutions, will also contribute to the panel discussions at the conference.
